Please help Ammar and his family evacuate Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tahseen and I urgently need your help to help my best friend, Ammar Abu Hudrouss and his family evacuate from Gaza.
Background
Ammar and I studied together at University in the UK.
Ammar went back home to his family in Gaza after completing his PhD.
Ammar and his wife both work as teachers in Gaza.
He is a professor at the University of Gaza and his wife teaches children in schools.
Since October last year, they have seen their home completely destroyed by an airstrike. They have witnessed many close family members get killed and injured.
Ammar is currently living in a tent in Rafah, in the south of the Gaza strip, trying his best to help his family survive this catastrophe. Ammar and his wife are looking after their five young children.
The children lack access to warmth, sanitation and a reliable food and water supply. The tent is exposed to shrapnel and the ever present risk of further military incursions into their area.
Funds Required
The only way out of Gaza at the moment is through Rafah into Egypt.
The cost to cross this border is $5000 per person. The family will need some additional funds beyond this to cover living expenses once in Egypt.
We are seeking your help to raise £35000 to ensure a safe exit for Ammar and his wife, and five young children.
We are appealing to the generosity of anyone that reads this message. Thank you for considering donating.
We would also like to thank anyone that is able to publicise this page further to help our campaign.
We will update this page regularly to keep you informed about any changes on the ground.
