Please help Ames family after losing home to grass fire.
Donation protected
On Monday, January 27, around 1:30 pm, the Brisby family of Ames, Iowa, lost their home to fire after a contractor lost control of a grass fire on a nearby property.
Helena Brisby, her grandmother, and her three children are safe; however, her oldest son who suffers from Muscular Dystrophy was hospitalized with second-degree burns and smoke inhalation. The family is together and being supported by friends, and community members, as well as assistance from the American Red Cross.
Two of her children attend Ames High School and are active in football, track, and other school activities.
As they move forward to rebuild their lives, please consider contributing to help get the Brisby family back on their feet. It will be a long road ahead, but we can help to alleviate some of the burden on this kind family.
