Just before her 18th birthday, our brave and beautiful Alicia received the devastating news no one ever expects: she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer. What followed has been nothing short of a battle — one she has faced with strength, grace, and determination far beyond her years.

Doctors were able to remove the cancer, but to do so, Alicia had to undergo major surgery, receiving a new knee and having most of the bone in her lower leg replaced. This life-changing procedure was only the beginning of a long road to recovery. Alicia still has three more blocks of chemotherapy to complete, and her journey is far from over.
