Hi, I have created this fundraiser to help my step grandson Alex kick brain cancers butt! Alex was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma at age 12. He's been cancer free for almost 6 years. Unfortunately, he has been suffering from headaches lately, and both a CT and MRI scan has proven all of our worst fears. His cancer is back. Alex underwent surgery last week and began Chemotherapy a couple days ago. He will have a lumbar puncture soon to make sure the spine is not affected. This time around he will need proton therapy and the best facility is in San Diego. Alex will travel there with his mother in 3 or 4 weeks. The proton therapy will last 45 days. His Chemotherapy will last 8 months. Unfortunately, with some unemployment in the family, times are very hard. Alex's mom will be on FMLA while focusing on Alex in San Diego. I hope to raise enough money to help them with so many expenses: Medical, travel, lodging, food, and helping to keep Alex comfortable. Thank you so much in advance♥️
