Gone way too soon: Help for a grieving family.

It's finally time to share the news that my beautiful sister, strong as she was, bowed out to her foe and passed away in the early morning hours of Friday December 10, 2021. So many of you loved and supported her/our family through this whole ordeal and for that, I am humbled, grateful, and blessed. We all are.

My sister was a warrior, she possessed more strength and courage than anyone I have ever met. She was a loving mother and only wanted what was best for her sons and her life’s mission was to make them happy.
This is an incredibly challenging time, but I know she is looking down on all of us and praying that we make the most out of life.

My sister left behind her soulmate, David Fraleigh, and her three sons, Gio (16), Joseph (14), and Sia (11),as well as her two step-children. We are asking for any and all help for them over the next few months as they adjust to their new normal. Dave and the kids have a long, hard road ahead of them. Any donation, no matter how big or how small will help them out immensely.  Also, please share this link to reach as many hearts as possible.

Alethea's obituary:

Alethea Kazolias-Fraleigh, 39, of Rhinebeck, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Vassar Bros. Hospital in Poughkeepsie after a long illness.

Born on December 30, 1981, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas P. Kazolias and Louise E. Wilburn Kazolias.

Alethea worked as an office manager for Adam Fairacre Farms in Poughkeepsie. It was there she met her husband and true life-partner, David Fraleigh.

On Friday the 13th of September in 2019, she married David. He survives at home.

Alethea was a generous soul who loved giving back to those within her community and helping in any way she could, however her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially on “Sunday funday” gatherings at home. There was no limit to her generosity and love.

Along with her husband she is survived by the five beloved children of their beautiful blended family: Josiah Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez, Giovanni Ramirez, Amelia Fraleigh and Austin Jessen.

She is also survived by her siblings, Marissa Berryann (Justin Berryann), Philotemo Kazolias (Hailey Moran), Nicholas Kazolias (Mary Kazolias), Satiro Kazolias (Jessica Kazolias), Pauline Quattrone, Ellen Kempf, Aeyiou Kazolias, and Socrates Kazolias, her mother-in-law, Donna Fraleigh, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Along with her parents she was also predeceased by her brother Panacea Kazolias and her nephew, Paul Kazolias.

The family would like to thank Alethea’s “adopted daughter,” Ari Brown, Donna Fraleigh, and Darice Sloniker for their help in caring for Alethea.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a future date. With this in mind, consider penning some of your favorite stories and thoughts of Alethea to be shared at that time.

If you would like to donate in other ways please reach out to me on Facebook.

Thank you,
Nick Kazolias
