Please help Alan DaSilva fight for his life

In April of 2019, our dear friend and colleague Alan DaSilva, was first diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma Signet Cell (Stomach cancer). The doctors had decided that a very aggressive chemotherapy regiment and a medical procedure was the best course of action. After 6 rounds of chemotherapy, the doctors had completed a medical procedure which took place on August 6, 2019 to remove the affected areas which included his stomach, spleen, appendix, gallbladder and some of his intestines. Shortly thereafter, Alan did one more round of chemotherapy, and the doctors received clean margins along with test results showing that Alan was cancer free.  In November of 2020, Alan had not been feeling well and went through a multitude of tests. At this time, the doctors had explained to Alan that he has stage 4 cancer, which has now spread to his peritoneal cavity, throat and his entire digestive system.

For those friends and colleagues who know or have worked with Alan personally, you know that he is incredibly talented, dedicated, selfless and has a huge heart.  He has been a great friend and we are deeply grateful to him for his generous spirit and way of life.  Through his work over the years with Nalco Water and with AMC he has literally helped many of us discover our careers, he has encouraged us to grow and expand in our abilities and he has been an example to all of us about what it looks like to be a good and honest man who fights for what he believes in and helps to lift up all those around him.

Collectively we are hoping and praying for Alan and his family, wife Kat and children Lilly and Noah. We can do our part by lessening the financial burden on Alan and his family as he fights the good fight.  Please offer your prayers, encouragement, and support. All funds will be used to help pay for medical bills and to help care for his family at this difficult time.
