My name is Alaa Al-Maasher, a 30-year-old widow. After losing my husband to I_srael_i gunfire, I now struggle alone to care for my four children: Kaid (12), Maram (11), Amir (8), and baby Lana (1.5). We've been displaced from our city to a tent in Kh_an You_nis where disease, heat, and insects plague us daily.

My daughter Maram suffers from a chronic illness requiring ongoing treatment.
