I am reaching out on behalf of a dear colleague, Shannon Capps, who has experienced unimaginable loss in recent months. Shannon tragically lost his brother and nephew, and just this past week, he suffered another devastating blow—a house fire that took his mother’s life and destroyed everything he owned.

In a desperate attempt to save his mother, Shannon and a neighbor rushed into the burning home, sustaining burns themselves, but heartbreakingly, they were unable to reach her in time. Now, he is left not only grieving the loss of his loved ones but also trying to recover from the loss of his home and all of his belongings.

Shannon is a dedicated supervisor at a safety rest area, where he tirelessly works to maintain a safe and welcoming place for travelers. He is known for his kind heart, warm smile, and willingness to help others—whether visitors passing through or his coworkers. Now, he needs our help.

We are raising funds to help Shannon recover from this tragedy—covering funeral expenses, replacing essential belongings, and assisting him in rebuilding his life. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in helping him get back on his feet.
