We are in one of those crucial moments in history where we must ask ourselves, what would I do? What would I do if a genocide was unfolding before my eyes? That moment in history is now.
My friend, Ahmed Assad Abohatab, needs to raise money to leave the ruins of Gaza, in an attempt to save the lives of him and his family: Ahmed (age 26), His Father (age 55), His Mother (age 49), His Middle Brother (age 24) and his Youngest Brother (age 19).
I am respectfully asking you to please donate so that we can raise the money needed for Ahmad and his family to leave Gaza and to have enough money for the first couple months of their new life. I will wire transfer the border crossing funds to Ahmed's friend in Egypt, who will register Ahmed's family with Ya Hala, since someone located in Egypt is required to register people for border crossings. Once the family is out of Gaza I will wire any remaining funds directly to Ahmed's family for their living expenses. Should the family not be able to leave Gaza, all money will be transferred to Ahmed's family, through the Bank of Palestine, and will be used for them to rebuild their home and lives in Gaza.
Thank you for your generosity.

MESSAGE FROM AHMED
Hello Global Family,
I am Ahmed, a Palestinian residing in Gaza.
Before the war I worked as a bank employee and lived in peace and happiness like any free person. I loved my work, enjoyed being able to buy my own clothes, had great times with my friends, and felt safe and secure with my family. But today, under the struggles of this fierce conflict from which no one has been spared, I find myself without a home, without the job I love, and desperately looking for food, water, and the will to persevere through these difficult days.
In order to save my family’s lives and for the hope of a better future, I have decided to leave my beloved Gaza.
Hopefully, one day soon the Rafah border crossing will again open and I will be able to help my family escape the nightmare we are currently living, but I cannot do that without humbly asking for your donations. We must register with the Egyptian company Ya Hala in order to be able to cross the border. This is very expensive, so we must rely on the kindness and compassion of our global family to be able to pay the $25,000 ($5,000 for 5 people) necessary for us to flee from this war.
Our hearts belong to Gaza and we all hope that one day we will be able to return. Once I can catch my breath, I will go back to Gaza to rebuild my community, build my future, get married, and start the family I long for.
Your help may save our lives and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to have a brighter future. Thank you for your willingness to help my family and me.
Wishing you all the best,
Ahmed
