Please help after a medical Emergancy!

Dear friends,

Life has thrown one challenge after another at us, and we are in a truly difficult spot right now. I am on a fixed income and had originally reached out for help to assist with my wife’s trip to her family reunion. However, things took a drastic turn when my car broke down during the last deep freeze. The brake line, power steering line, and fuel return line all failed at once. The $350 in generous donations, along with nearly $600 borrowed from family, had to go straight into urgent car repairs—leaving us back at square one.

Then, things got worse. The flu was going through my wife's workplace cutting her work hours down to just 15 that week. Then she got sick herself, meaning she barely worked at all the following week.

And then—the biggest blow yet. I ended up in the emergency room with severe abdominal pain, only to find out I had an infection in my gallbladder, kidney stones, and an umbilical hernia. I needed nearly three hours of surgery and spent four nights in the hospital. We haven’t even seen the hospital bill yet, but we know it’s going to be overwhelming.

Why I’m Asking for Help:

Our auto loan and rent alone total $1,400, and with all these setbacks, we’re struggling just to cover basic living expenses. I’m only asking for help with the essentials—keeping a roof over our heads and food on the table. If anyone is able and feels led to help with medical costs, I can’t begin to express how much that would mean—it would quite literally bring me to tears.

Every penny will go toward necessities—nothing frivolous, nothing unnecessary.

Yet another curve ball in the mix!

Because she missed as much work as she did, from the flu THEY gave her, and the time she had to take off work because of my emergency surgery, my wife was "let go" from her nanny job!
