Hi, my name is Joy Tablate and I am helping my sister Adelbeth Tablate Roca with her fight against thyroid cancer. Adelbeth Roca is 40 years old, married and has 2 sons, Eli John (9) and Ethan (6).

In April 2021, Adelbeth was working in retail despite the pandemic and contracted COVID-19. During her isolation, she noticed a sudden enlargement of her neck. She had hypothyroidism prior to contracting COVID-19 and after she recovered from the virus, she had been seeing the doctor regarding her constant fatigue, constant headache and the enlargement of her neck.

In the first week of August 2021, they performed an ultrasound and found thyroid nodes with microcalcifications. A biopsy was done 2 weeks ago and the result came that she has thyroid carcinoma with squamous differentiation. She will undergo total thyroidectomy on August 30, 2021, thanks to the financial help extended to her by her family and friends.

In the past, Adelbeth assisted me in delivering the children's program in her barangay in the Philippines, cooking meals for the children and teaching them life skills. Her passion for children is so great that despite working full time in a retail store, she finds time to do something for the children in her barangay.

As a sister, I am humbly asking for your prayers and financial support as Adelbeth will continue to fight this cancer. I don't know what will happen after her surgery and what other treatments she may need, but I know that she will need any help you can extend to her.
