Help Me Get the Medical Care I Urgently Need

My name is Kimberly, I am 52 years old and over the past few years my health has declined in ways that have completely changed my life. I am now under 100 pounds due to the inability to eat and process nutrients.

I am currently living with severe and complex medical problems, including a diagnosis of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). These conditions affect my entire body. Simple things many people take for granted — walking, standing, lifting objects, or even eating — can cause severe pain, weakness, and debilitating symptoms.

Recently my symptoms have become much worse. I experience severe nerve pain, numbness in my leg and foot, difficulty walking, and constant exhaustion. Some days I can barely move without significant pain. I also struggle with severe digestive problems that make it difficult to eat and maintain weight.

Despite many tests and hospital visits, doctors still have not been able to fully determine everything that is going on or how to properly treat it. I urgently need a home heath aid and am paying out of pocket while we wait for the veterans association to make a decision on providing me with a caregiver.

Unfortunately, the cost of travel, specialist appointments, and medical testing is more than I can manage right now.

That is why I am asking for help.

I have spent half of every month for the past seven months in the James Haley VA hospital in Tampa. Your donations will help me pay for a caregiver so that i can be at home with my family during this. Rather then over an hour away in the hospital where i never get to see my husband or daughter. Fighting this battle alone is very difficult emotionally and mentally
