Having served in the heat of the Afghan war in the Army Special Operations Forces and injured on deployment, Addison Williams returned to his beloved wife Ashley.
He has worked to overcome many struggles of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and a severe back injury; working hard to maintain his focus and therapy. He has built a family and a home business since his return.
Just before the birth of his fourth child, he began to experience severe headache and stroke like symptoms, serious fatigue, numbness and pain in different parts of his body. The doctors have diagnosed his problem as Lyme Disease.
Prior to his diagnosis, Addison spent the last 8 months seeing multiple doctors including: ophthalmologists, neurologists, infectious disease, and primary care. After multiple medications, testings, and trips to the ER, no one was able to find the cause of his worsening and debilitating symptoms.
Finally, a neurologist was able to diagnose Addison and prescribe antibiotics, which was a temporary fix for his symptoms. After two rounds of antibiotics the doctor was unable to figure out why he wasn’t getting better, and told him that he is unable to provide him with any further treatment. Disheartened by this news and frustrated over the change in their quality of life, Addison and Ashley sought out alternative options. Leading them to their current doctor, a specialist in Lyme disease located in Georgia.
Unfortunately, Lyme Disease specialists who can help to cure Addison do not accept insurance. Please help us raise enough to support the Williams family and cover the cost of the mounting medical bills.
Because of this disease Addison has been unable to work to his full potential the last 8 months, he is severely limited and can’t keep up. His income has dropped and he has lost all but one client from his computer marketing business. Being the primary breadwinner, this has put a huge financial strain on their family.
We are calling all friends and family and anyone with a heart to pray and help! There are four children under 11 years old: Addie, Liam, Penelope and Julian. We are asking and praying for a blessing!
