I’m writing to share the story of Casey and his family, who are facing an incredibly difficult time and are in urgent need of support.
Casey honorably served our country for over 20 years in the Air Force as a Security Forces member. During his years of service, he sustained multiple injuries that now severely limit his ability to work. Although he receives some disability compensation from the military, it isn’t enough to cover their most basic expenses. Over the past few weeks, Casey has been in and out of the hospital due to a service-connected injury, with no clear timeline for recovery or return to work.
Casey and his wife, Tabatha, are the proud parents of four children—three teenagers and one young child. Tabatha herself lives with disabilities from a car accident that occurred while she was pregnant with their youngest, leaving her unable to work. All four of their children have varying levels of disability, requiring frequent medical appointments and specialized care that keep the family’s schedule full and their resources strained.
After Casey’s retirement from the Air Force in July 2024, the family experienced over a year of homelessness before finding stable housing. Sadly, they are now at risk of losing that home due to their lack of income. Their gas and power are on payment plans, but even those payments have become impossible to meet. The family urgently needs help with rent, groceries, gas, and basic necessities to sustain them during this challenging period.
This family has sacrificed so much for our country, and they now find themselves needing the compassion and generosity of others. Any assistance—financial support, resources, or even spreading the word—would mean the world to them.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for any help you can offer to this veteran and his family in their time of need.
