Hi, my name is S, I'm a disabled trans refugee claimant in Canada. My country is not a safe place for me to be, and I came to Canada seeking safety. Since then, the anti-immigration rhetoric has gotten worse, and I am in danger of losing my status (through no fault of my own).

Since coming to Canada, my health started to worsen, and I have been unable to work for some time. I am barely getting by, and my disability has now become so bad that I am requiring a wheelchair. I am on a waitlist for a neurologist specializing in movement disorders; the waitlist is 16 months.

My coverage has now introduced a co-pay for the most basic things I require, which are therapy and medication. Without my medication, I won't be able to even move.

So, for that, I'm asking my community for some financial assistance, so that I'm able to stay afloat while I try to find more stable disability-compatible freelance opportunities.

For transparency, I have multiple autoimmune conditions, including 2 forms of arthritis, a degenerative osteoarthritis, as well as fibromyalgia and a neurological disorder.
