Please Help a Severely Injured Escaped Factory Farm Hen

UPDATE: we have met our goal, and made enough extra for any follow-up visits that may need to occur. Thank you to the wonderful community that made this possible!

Kathy the hen was found by a wonderful woman, in bad condition. It appeared Kathy had escaped from a transport truck for a factory farm, and has most likely lived a horrible life as an abused factory farm hen.

Kathy cannot walk. Her beak was crudely cut and then sustained additional damage during her fall out of the transport truck. She must be syringe fed, and is likely in a great deal of pain.

Kathy’s rescuer was able to secure a veterinary appointment; the soonest one being on Monday, June 23rd. The closest Avian vet, Aloha Pet and Bird Hospital, is nearly an hour away. Unfortunately she currently has no ability to transport Kathy to the important appointment.

A plea went out asking for a volunteer to drive her, but, as of the writing of this, no one has answered that plea. If a ride is found, any funds donated will be refunded.

A round trip Uber would be $150. We are begging for help so that this sweet hen can be treated for her injuries and receive pain relief. She escaped hell; let’s make sure it wasn’t in vain ♥️
