This fundraiser is for a colleague of mine who has served the City of Minneapolis and the Park Board for over 25 years. He is also an outstanding community member who lives in Minneapolis's north side.

Charles "Chuck" Davis lives with and has been taking care of his elderly/disabled mother. The house they live in was severely damaged by the storm last night when a giant silver maple tree crashed through the roof. As a result, the house will need structural repair, roofing, and repair from water damage. Even prior to this damage, Chuck faced financial hardship taking care of his mother and the home. This incident only exacerbates this hardship.

Many of you know Chuck through his personal life and/or through his service with the Park Board. Chuck has helped many throughout his life and career, and I would like to take this opportunity to help him and his family out in this crucial time of need.

Chuck is also a Army veteran.
