To all my friends, families, and neighbors all around the world..
As many of you know Hurricane Ida hit the United States and has destroyed many cities. It has impacted many people’s lives, and even taken the lives of some. I’m here to share a story with you in hopes I can gather enough people to help raise money for a friend who lost everything from this storm.
My best friends fiancé lives in the city of Manville which is located in New Jersey. This summer he moved into his moms basement for some time until he gets married in October. When the storm came the basement filled with water, destroying everything that was in there. All of his belongings along with their children’s things were destroyed. All of his identification and important documents were ruined. He was not home when this happened and thank God his mom was able to rescue his 2 dogs and bring them upstairs. His mom and grandfather were rescued by boat because the whole neighborhood was under water but his dogs were left. My friend tried to get people to rescue the dogs but they were too busy. So he got a boat and paddled for hours to rescue his dogs.
He is getting married in a month which is amazing! :) But this is his current situation..
He has no where to sleep or even go to that will allow him to bring his dogs.
He has a job but getting there will be hard because he has no home and no place for his dogs.
He has lost all his clothes and everything he owned, including his furniture, tv, bed, all his kids belongings that were in the basement, their bed, and all identification papers just to name a few things.
I know many people have lost so much from this storm, and thankfully many people will be able to collect money from the insurance company for what has been damaged. But because he was just temporarily staying with his mom he will not get reimbursed for anything.
I am reaching out on my own to see if I can gather enough willing hearts to be a helping hand to my friend. No matter the size of the gift it will be a huge blessing to him and his soon to be new family. Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read this and thank you for your financial support and prayers! We need both of them!
God is still good in the middle of the storm!
Blessings!
