Hello everyone, my name is Freddy Perez. I am here asking for help on behalf of my sister, nephew and my aunt. On Saturday August 16th, 2025, as we were coming back from my daughter’s birthday celebration. My sister received a call from the fire dept and the police dept to inform her that there was a fire at her condo. We were 15 min away but by the time we got there it was too late, the whole 1st floor was completely destroyed by the fire. Thank God there was no one home. We want to give a HUGE thank you to the firefighters and police officers, they were also able to get the 2 dogs out. The 2 dogs were scared and agitated, but they were okay overall. Sadly, the 6 birds that they had (2 love birds, 3 parakeets and one cockatiel) did not make it.

The 2nd floor was completely damaged by smoke. Thank God they have their home insurance that will be helping, however they (the insurance’s adjuster) is thinking it might take between 6 to 8 months until they are able to get back into their home, it’s been red tagged. We’re hoping to be able to raise enough funds to help offset costs since they lost everything. My sister still has to pay for the mortgage, insurance, HOA fees, and find somewhere else to live mean while. If you could pitch in to help it would be greatly appreciated.
