Please Help a Family Friend Heal After Tragedy

Me dirijo a ustedes con el corazón en la mano para compartir la historia de un hombre que significa mucho para mi familia. El amigo cercano de mi padre—alguien a quien consideramos parte de nuestra propia familia—fue recientemente víctima de un violento robo, durante el cual recibió un disparo. Aunque estamos profundamente agradecidos de que haya sobrevivido, el camino hacia su recuperación será largo, doloroso y lleno de desafíos, tanto físicos como económicos.

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of a man who means so much to my family. My father’s close friend—someone we consider part of our own family—was recently the victim of a violent robbery, during which he was shot. While we are incredibly grateful that he survived, the road to recovery will be long, painful, and filled with challenges—both physical and financial.

This fundraiser is a small way for us to rally around him in his time of need, to show him that he is not alone, and to help ease some of the burdens that no one should have to face alone.
