Please help a disabled trans girl escape homelessness.

My name is Lucy, and I am fundraising for my girlfriend, Melody.

Melody has been living on the streets of Boston for almost a year, after having a job opportunity in another state suddenly withdrawn.

Melody suffers from spina bifida, a disability which inhibits her ability to climb stairs and walk long distances and causes her legs to "feel like glass".

She's been forced to endure lice, sickness, verbal abuse, physical assaults, and a frigid New England winter, as well as the possibility of detainment by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) despite Boston's status as a sanctuary city, as she doesn't have access to documents which certify her as a United States citizen.

Our ultimate goal is to marry, which would allow her to live with me here in Canada, but this is not currently possible as she does not have a passport.

Our fundraising goal is $10,000; enough to cover three months rent and a deposit for an apartment, purchase a wheelchair, and cover the fees for a passport.
