Please help a Brave Mom of 5 Rebuild After Abuse

I never imagined I would be in this position—reaching out to strangers for help—but I’m doing this for my kids, who deserve safety, stability, and a real chance at life.

Not long ago, I made the most difficult and terrifying decision of my life: I left an extremely abusive relationship to protect myself and my children. We walked away with almost nothing, just the clothes on our backs and the hope that there was something better waiting for us.

We were homeless for a while, sleeping in shelters, staying wherever we could, trying to hold it together. Eventually, I was able to find a small place for us to live. It isn’t much, but to us, it’s everything—it’s safety, it’s peace, and for the first time in a long time, it feels like a fresh start.

But rebuilding from scratch with five kids is incredibly hard. I’m doing everything I can, but without childcare, it’s been nearly impossible to secure stable work. Every day is a struggle to keep the lights on and hold on to the little bit of security we’ve found.

I’m asking for $4,000 to help us catch up on rent and utilities, get clothing and basic essentials for my kids, and cover childcare costs long enough for me to get back on my feet and into a job.

Every dollar you give goes directly toward helping us survive this chapter and move into something better. I am not looking for handouts—I’m looking for a chance to stand back up and provide my children with the life they deserve.
