After 45 years of owning Rottweilers, we lost our beloved girl Blossom last year in March. Our hearts were absolutely broken. We found Romy, a gentle, anxious 3-year-old Rottweiler who desperately needed a home.
We brought Romy home in September 2025 on a trial basis and just fell in love with him. Despite his anxiety, one thing brought him pure joy — chasing his ball. Sadly, just two weeks later, (before we could get him insured), Romy slipped while playing and was suddenly unable to bear weight on his back leg.
After X-rays, we discovered Romy had torn his cruciate ligament. We tried eight weeks of strict rest and conservative treatment, but he hasn’t improved. Without surgery, Romy will continue to live in pain and risk permanent damage.
Even with pain relief and anxiety medication, Romy is now chewing his leg and paw until they bleed, clearly distressed and hurting. He is such a gentle boy and far too young to be living like this.
Most vets quoted £4,500 for surgery, but we’ve found a trusted organisation who can operate for £2,019. We are asking for help get him the surgery he urgently needs.
If you’re able to donate, big or small or even share his fundraiser, it would mean everything and we’d be forever grateful
Every donation brings Romy closer to leading a pain free life.. Thank you for helping Romy get back on his feet.
