Hi everyone, I am reaching out because I am desperate and don’t know where else to turn. This is Simba, our 3-year-old house cat who means the world to us. Recently, Simba suffered a painful urinary obstruction. We took him to the vet and paid to have him flushed and cleared, but the blockage did not fully go away.

The vet confirmed he has dangerously high potassium levels, which is now causing his kidneys to fail and putting immense strain on his heart. Right now, his heart rate is dropping and he is at risk of cardiac arrest. He is lethargic, crying out in pain, and his body is essentially being poisoned by the toxins he can't flush out.

The problem is that the first vet bill was all we could afford. We spent every cent we had to save him and now he’s not getting better and we cannot afford the estimates they are giving us to save his life.

I am devastated to be in a position where I might lose my best friend just because I can't afford to save him. Simba is only 3 and he deserves to grow old with us.
