Hi everyone,

We are heartbroken writing this. Our 12-year-old girl, Cheech, was seriously injured in a sudden accident involving one of our other dogs while we were not home. We came home to find her with devastating injuries—severe trauma to her eye, deep facial wounds, and a puncture wound to her side. The damage to her eye is extensive, and she will likely need surgery, possibly including removal of the eye, to prevent infection and relieve her pain. The puncture wound on her side also requires treatment and careful monitoring to ensure proper healing. She has already received emergency veterinary care, but this is just the beginning. Between surgery, medications, wound treatment, and follow-up visits, the medical expenses are quickly adding up.

Cheech is 12 years old and has been a loyal, loving part of our family for over a decade. She loves being wrapped up in blankets, staying close to us, and simply being by our side. She is gentle, sweet, and has the kindest spirit. Seeing her in pain has been absolutely heartbreaking. We never imagined something like this could happen in our own home. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure the safety of all our dogs moving forward. Right now, our focus is giving Cheech the best chance at healing and comfort in her senior years.
