As some of you may be aware, seven years ago we lost Marcie Peaco to Amyloidosis. Marcie was an avid volunteer, assisted her husband Ray Peaco with athletic events, and worked closely with the Seneca Valley Track and Field Team. Above all, she had a heart of gold and put others before herself. She will truly be missed, and her memory will live on forever.
Amyloidosis steals. It steals life and destroys families. It will take what you love most and leave you and your family in sorrow and despair. With very limited research for such a deadly disease, patients often are given weeks to live once given a diagnosis.
In memory of Marcie and everyone who has passed due to the vicious disease, the Seneca Valley Track and Field family wants to raise money for the Amyloidosis Foundation. These donations will be used to research and hopefully give us the life-saving cure for a disease that has taken so much.
Last year, due to the support and generosity of the Seneca Valley Track and Field family as well as all other supporters, we were able to raise over $3,200 for Amyloidosis Research. We hope to come together and raise more money this year. With your help and kindness, we will have no problem reaching that goal.
Thank you for your support. With your help, we can create a better tomorrow for Amyloidosis patients and defeat the deadly disease one day. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much.
