Please Give Hope to Oleh, Ukrainian Defender
Donation protected
Feb 24, 2022 is the day when the world has changed irrevocably for all Ukrainians; the day when russia launched an all-out invasion. Even though the war really began in 2014, that particular day was our “9/11 moment”.
Hello to everyone, thank you so much for clicking on this GoFundMe.
Our names are Volodymyr and Nataliia, and we are a Ukrainian couple who moved to Canada more than 10 years ago.
This fundraiser is set up to assist Oleh with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) treatment expenses. Oleh and his family were our good neighbours when we lived in Kherson region, Ukraine.
Oleh Kyrychenko is a 33-year-old Ukrainian defender who joined the Ukrainian Volunteer Army back in 2015. He and his friends did the same brave step in 2022 right after the full-scale war had begun. In March 2022 during the combat mission, they were ambushed and shot almost at point-blank range. Unfortunately, two of Oleh’s friends were killed. Thank God and doctors Oleh managed to survive. He turned out to be stronger than 8 enemy bullets. But one of them ruptured his spinal cord at the level of T10-T11 and stole his ability to walk.
When Oleh’s mother called us 6 months ago, her only prayer was to find a clinic specialized in SCI treatment by using advanced technologies. The solution has been found in Thailand. The doctors from Verita Neuro clinic have thoroughly reviewed Oleh’s medical history and current medical condition and have offered one of their treatment programs. It includes an extensive rehabilitation in combination with LamiSpine procedure (an innovative way of delivering the Stem Cells directly into the healthy neural tissue surrounding the injury site).
The cost of this program is $68,800 USD (around $94,500 CAD).
100% of the fund raised will go strictly to Oleh’s medical expenses. By donating to this cause, you are giving hope to Oleh and a sense of relief to his parents knowing they can do everything possible to improve their son’s quality of life.
Oleh comes from a loving home, he is the youngest of 3 brothers. His parents are doing their best to stay strong in spite of too many tragic moments in their lives. They had to overcome the devastating deaths of their eldest sons; inability to come back home cause that area is still under russian occupation.
Oleh and his parents really need our support.
Please help us make a meaningful difference in their lives affected by war.
Thank you agian for your time. Ourselves and Oleh's family would be beyond grateful for any donaton you are able to make.
P.S. Verita Neuro provides next-generation treatments for patients who have experienced spinal cord injury, brain injury, and neurological conditions. One of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash survivors has received spinal surgery at this clinic and is happy with the results.
