Jane has been diagnosed with viral encephalomeningitis and sent home from the hospital with an iv so she can do home infusions and not have to stay in the hospital. This specific type of diagnosis is rare affecting 1:100,000 with a mortality rate of 20% WITH treatment. This is a big deal because Jane is a single mother to 4 boys, 2 are very little as you can see in the picture. Jane worked nights as a labor and delivery nurse and taught Zumba classes during the day at our local YMCA.
Now she cannot work at all. In 2 weeks her short term disability will kick in. But it won’t cover everything, not even close. This is a mother’s nightmare, Jane shouldn’t have to worry about not being able to pay rent this month when she is trying to get to the Mayo Clinic to save her own life.
She was there for me when I had both of my children and helped deliver my daughter. I have watched her love others in the same way. She is selfless & giving. Now she needs some help! Even if you don’t know her or you can’t give very much, please help. If you can’t give money but you can make a meal we have a meal train set up. Please give in whatever way you can even if it’s sharing this post on your feed or other groups. It takes a village!
