In brief, I am desperate and need a lawyer to get my neurodivergent children and myself out of a domestic abuse situation and have until 26 November to do so before the court decides to grant my abusive husband's wishes to have full custody of the children. Please help me to pay for a lawyer so that I can fight his lies and give my kids the best possible future.

My name is Emerald and I am a disabled mum of two children aged 12 and 15 and am trapped in a situation in which I'm living with my extremely narcissistic, controlling husband, who has been very abusive towards me and has exercised control over everything in my and the kids' lives and in the family for many years, including our supposed joint finances.

He has prevented me from working by quoting "protection" and moving us around various countries in the name of "adventure" purely for his benefit, so that I have found it impossible to find a job or develop a support network.

I told him I couldn't stand the abuse or his behaviour towards the kids any more and need to leave and after a lot of desperate fawning, he has accepted that I'm serious and has decided yet again to take matters into his own hands and take full control of the situation without communication with me, and has applied for a divorce and I have been issued with a court date and a letter from his lawyer with several pages of false accusations about my cruelty, neglect and lack of care for the children and lies about him taking full responsiblity for everything relating to the kids and being the most amazing parent on the planet because of his professional experience.

Using these statements, he hopes to gain full custody of the children (who do not wish to live with him for many reasons related to safety and general unpleasantness) and may consider allowing me to have limited supervised contact.

I have no money to pay for a lawyer and cannot claim benefits that would facilitate legal aid because of my husband's income.

Please, please help me to pay for a lawyer to defend my children against this very unpleasant father of theirs so that they can lead safe and happy lives.
