Hello Community & Supporters of our friend Farmer Will at Worker Bee Farm -

Update: So many of you jumped in wanting to help! Thank you! I decided to go ahead and start the GFM for Will after all...I know he could so use the help & I realized it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission, LOL! ;-) His Story:

Sadly and frustratingly our beloved Farmer Will, the amazing hard-working organic farmer of Worker Bee Farm in Freestone, CA has been hit hard with theft...people not paying for his amazing produce. This is the first time ever, this has happened. When visiting the farm recently, Will (very difficultly) shared that his seasonal income, which is his only source from roughly July - September or so was way down by $3-$4k. Will works mostly on the Honor System. He's been farming every year here for years and years. He is passionate about sustainable farming, produces the best organic food and loves his community. In a nut-shell, people are taking produce and not paying for it...stealing. Will works so hard.... This is NOT okay. He shared that he might have to permanently shut down the farm because he cannot make ends meet without this income. This completely breaks my heart (and I know many other's) and is such a sign of the times, tho that does not make it right. From the Nextdoor Community Appeal that I posted, it became very evident our community wanted to help and support in any way they could. So, I have started this GFM to help Will thru this difficult season and to show him our love & support so that he can hopefully continue to farm in the coming years. Will provides us all with not only his amazing, healthful, organic and grown-with-love produce but also with his shining-soul-passion for sustainable organic farming and friendship. :-) Please consider a donation ... any amount will help and I'm sure Will would be most grateful.
