Hi, my name is Nathan and I’m Cate’s brother. At aprox 3am Boxing Day there was a terrible house fire and Cate was trapped inside. Thanks to the heroic efforts of her partner Matt, who ripped a screen door off to get to her, she now has a fighting chance of survival. Suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning and burns to 40% of her body, this will be a long painful recovery with plenty of surgeries along the way. Any money here will go towards assistance to her 4 beautiful kids and amazing mother and father John and Dianne Barnes who are currently by here side to be there when she opens her eyes.
