Please Support Paco's Emergency Care Fund

Please help me save Paco. I've fundraised for many things - but never thought fundraising for my cat's emergency medical bills would be on the list. Paco needs a life-saving procedure called a perineal urethrostomy to allow him to urinate freely after a series of life-threatening urinary blockages. He's been in the emergency hospital since 12/31/24, and in less than two days his bills are totaling $12,400 (not including Ubers to/from the ER, renting a car for the surgery, buying post-operative care gear, etc.). I have nearly no savings left; almost all I've saved up since graduate school is gone in less than 48 hours. That's terrifying. It also means that if Paco has another emergency procedure, I might not be able to cover it, which is almost too hard to type.

Paco is my emotional support animal and my best friend. I've helped him through various health issues since I adopted him at age 2, and he's lovingly and determinedly dragged me out of the deepest mental health valleys with his punctual 7am breakfast meows. Paco is only nine and has so much life left in him. Dominick and I would be so deeply, deeply grateful for any help to ease the financial burden and prevent us from going in debt and/or struggling to pay rent/groceries/etc. 2025 has been hell so far.
