My name is Kristi Aguilar and I am asking for your help for our dear friends. We all know how hard things are right now for our brothers and sisters in the immigrant community, and these friends of ours are no exception. For their safety, we are not going to reveal their names or faces here, which I hope you can understand given the level of fear families are currently experiencing.

Their family consistists of a wife and two children, all three of whom are US citizens, and a husband from Mexico who is trying to become a legal "Permanent Resident" (commonly known as having a green card). This is the step before being able to become a US citizen. He and his wife have been working with an attorney to do all the paperwork, but it is a very expensive process between all the legal fees and the fees paid directly to the US government. The total needed from start to finish is $9,000, but we are going to start with trying to raise half of that amount so that they are able to get the process started.

These friends of ours are wonderful people, serve the community, volunteer in our church, are hard-working parents, and would love to be able to live their lives without the fear of being separated. Please help us support them in this process that would literally change their lives forever.
