Michael Ficek Cremation Expenses

Hi, my name is Crystal Roatch. I am Michael’s niece and my family and I are asking for some help. Uncle Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year which came at a shock to all of us and quickly took over his life. For a fighting chance, Uncle Mike had come to Colorado for treatment and underwent chemo for several months before being able to get surgery to remove the cancer. At that time, doctors believed they were able to get most of it and that a few more rounds of chemo might be able to get the rest. Well 5 weeks later Uncle Mike was back in the emergency room in excruciating pain and unable to hold any food down. After a medical flight back to Colorado since he was back home in North Dakota at the time, the doctors delivered the grim news. The doctors said they had never seen anything like it. They have never seen a cancer be this aggressive and within 5 weeks from surgery, the cancer had spread all over his body. Uncle Mike was then told he had days to maybe a few weeks to live. Thankfully we were able to give Mike his dying wish and was able to get him back home to North Dakota where he could pass in his bed with his children. He is leaving behind his 20 year old daughter Michaela and his 12 year old son Christopher.

We are asking for help to cover costs for his cremation as it is much more expensive in North Dakota and my family cannot cover it. Anything would help and is deeply appreciated. Even if you can’t help donate just please keep our family in your prayers. Love you all so much!
