Small Town Rallies to Help Large Family

Hello, my name is Natalie Pineda and I am starting this gofundme to help a sweet family that has many urgent needs. On August 2nd, 2023 the Rangel family’s lives were forever changed on a trip to Longview for back to school shopping. A horrific car accident has left the family with the unimaginable task of healing in the aftermath. 5 of the 7 children ages 7 to 16, along with Mrs. Rangel were in the car at the time. Three helicopters were needed to get children the lifesaving care that they needed. The injuries sustained were vast and 6 major surgeries were needed between the 5 children. One child is still in the hospital, 2 hours away in Dallas, recovering after receiving the majority of the life threatening injuries. Any and all funds raised would benefit this family in so very many ways. Two of the children currently at home are in wheelchairs and are unable to stay in their upstairs bedrooms. Things such as hospital beds and transportation accommodating to wheelchairs are just a few of the things that would help this family. With one parent in Dallas with their child still hospitalized, and the other parent badly inured, the two oldest siblings that were not in the car at the time are tirelessly helping to care for the family. Please help me and our community rally around this family. Let us help the family that would never ask for help. Any amount you can donate will certainly be well spent to help this family in the coming months as they heal. This will allow them to do so without the financial burden this accident has caused. In addition, school is starting this week and the majority of the children are in wheelchairs and/or casts. Transportation to school will be very difficult. The two oldest girls involved in the accident have been best friends with my daughter since they were 7 and I want nothing more than to help this family, but I can’t do it alone. I have no doubt each child in this family have countless friends thinking about them in these trying times. This family is well loved and appreciated and deserve as many helping hands as they can get.
