Hi, I’m Lisa and I’m fundraising for my dear friends the Hays.

Help the Hay Family with housing costs while their 5 year old son gets a life extending gene therapy treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Their son has a genetic disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a disease characterized by progressive muscle loss. This revolutionary gene therapy will slow down the muscle loss their son is experiencing and give him many more years of walking and a better quality of life.

The family will be separating, as their 5 year old will need to stay quarantined from their older son, who also has Duchenne, but cannot receive gene therapy at this time. Housing costs in the Seattle area are costly and will be around $3,500 for two weeks. If we exceed the goal, any extra funds will go into a savings account for any medical costs in the future.
