I’m Nikki, Sarah’s sister. In the blink of an eye, life changes direction. In February 2026, at just 52, out of nowhere, her eyes turned a little yellow, and she went to A&E. Within 24 hours she diagnosed with a tumour on her pancreas. She was lucky - it was operable, but the operation was massive (“the whipple” - google it!) . That alone changed her life for ever. Surgery went wrong and after a corrective Op and several long weeks in hospital she started a 12 round chemo program. She only got to do 6. She was beset with setbacks, sepsis twice, and a 10cm abcess inside her liver that nearly killed her just before Xmas. 2026 was spent in and out of A&E and constant hospital stays. We thought she was out of the woods and PET scan in January showed inflammation to which the NHS suggested doing nothing more until end April with a review and next steps due in May. She sought a second opinion privately and thank god she did. The cancer has spread to her liver and lung and urgent, intense chemo is needed. We are trying to get back into the NHS and hoping she can get immediate treatment, but if not she will have to get her chemo privately. Phil, her husband (who is self-employed) has barely worked this past year and pretty much not left her side. Her daughter Megan, has also given up work to be able to attend all appointments and alongside Phil & their son Logan spent a large portion of the last year just being with her during the hospital admissions. I feel cheeky creating this, and Sarah & Phil have said not to. They have a car they can sell, they have a house they can move from. But I believe that she is so well loved that so many of you want to help. And there is so little we can do to help other than try to help just a little bit financially. If they have to fund their own chemo (they have no private health care) and Godwilling she comes through the other side of this, with a life to live and the means to do that. But if you love her like I do, and can spare a fiver or tenner or anything that you can contribute with no impact to yourself, please consider donating. On behalf of the Williams / Gilbey family, I thank you in advance from the very bottom of my heart
