Immediate Attention is Requested. Please Help with a Donation Immediately!! One of our own, NHDH Co-Sportswoman of the Year, Sarah Champagne is in a Personal Crisis. She is suffering physically, financially, and emotionally as the result of a traumatic fall!! On March 8th, while moving furniture in socks on a hardwood floor, she slipped and landed on her head hard. She crushed her vertebrae C4-5 and C5-6 in her neck, losing control of her arms for months with peripheral neuropathy. As a result, it required surgery fused by metal plates and screws. It will take up to 2 years to heal her nerve damage, 6 months for the cervical fusion and discectomy. Sarah is a single, proud, and hard-working mom of her 17-year-old Aidan. Anyone that knows her knows she never asks anyone for anything. She’s very independent. She’s been out of work for 4 months with no pay. Her surgery was rescheduled twice, prolonging her misery and creating a financial emergency. Her credit cards are maxed out as she had to use them to get by while she had no money coming in. She has over $70,000.00 in medical bills she’s facing to pay with no money. She had successful surgery on 5/19/2025 but faces many hurdles and financial issues. She returned to work on 6/9/2025 after being out for 4 months with no pay. She is down to her last $200.00 and must make it last until she gets her first paycheck on 6/27/2025. To add to her trauma, she had to leave work halfway through her second day for an at-home emergency her son Aidan called her about. Her 14-year-old dog Oakley was struggling as of late and not responding. They rushed him to the vet, and Sarah had no choice but to put him down due to complications, adding to her emotional distress. Sarah is a great person, mother, avid hunter, and sportswoman and was on the road to doing great things. She decided to go to college at SNHU and received her Associate's Degree in Science and Business Administration. She started her new job after 5 months of training with the state and to work for an insurance underwriter as an Associate Underwriter, simultaneously raising Aiden and continuing her studies at SNHU for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She was doing well financially and independent. Everything was looking up for Sarah when suddenly she was struck down and her world flipped upside down. I’m a good friend of hers and I personally love to see women succeed, especially in our sport. I ask all my fellow hunters, sportsmen, and sportswomen to please come together, step up, and donate to Sarah’s fund. She is one of the most deserving people I know and needs us all so desperately. Her biggest need right now is financial as she has no money but the $200 to get by with until 6/27. Any monies raised will be used for daily living expenses for Aiden and her, past due bills, credit card debt, and paying off hospital bills.
