My name is Mike Mahan, and I am a close friend and longtime neighbor of Ron Rosine. For 25 years, Ron has served Pottawatomie County, Kansas, as an EMS EMT-A/ Medic, dedicating his life to helping others in their most critical moments.
Now, Ron needs our help.
Four months ago, Ron’s life took an unexpected and devastating turn. He began experiencing symptoms of a chronic gastrointestinal disease that has rapidly deteriorated his health. Since then, Ron has lost over one hundred pounds and now relies on a walker to prevent falls.
After Ron’s diagnosis, it took 2-1/2 months for insurance to approve a critically needed infusion and injections prescribed by his physician. Even with the infusion, Ron was hospitalized twice due to pain and declining health, where he contracted a serious infection, which made his debilitating condition worse. His condition has forced him to take medical leave from the job he loves, and it is uncertain when, or if, he’ll be able to return. Ron was recently discharged from his second hospitalization and is now undergoing physical and occupational therapy. His focus is on following his doctors’ treatment plan and regaining his strength.
This medical crisis has placed a tremendous financial strain on Ron and his wife, Kari, who has taken extensive time off from work to care for him. Your support during this time will help ease their burden of mounting medical bills, the cost of home medical equipment, and lost income.
Your donation will go directly to Ron and Kari to help them navigate this difficult journey. Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and prayers.
Ron has spent decades saving lives. Now, it is our turn to support him.
