Unfortunately the Gilbert’s are not having their usual fun summer this year. On July 18th while driving home from Amherst Paul suffered from his first ever seizure, a grand mal/tonic clonic seizure. Luckily he was able to pull himself off the road before the seizure happened. Since he has been suffering with more seizures, several ambulance trips and admittance to the ER. He has been prescribed medication, but is continuing to have seizures that are very intense medical emergencies. On July 31st he suffered a seizure at home where he stopped breathing, luckily his wife Frankie successfully preformed CPR. Paul is currently unable to work or drive for 3 months minimum, and Frankie being laid off in the summer means that their income has been disrupted. I wanted to start this go fund me to help support their family in this stressful, scary situation to take some financial burden off their heads which are already so busy trying to get Paul diagnosed and on the correct treatment.
