Our very Beautiful, very Brave and VERY Courageous friend Zoe has had the worst 18months of her life. While many of us have found the last 2 years a struggle with the majority of us having uncertainty of life, living with covid, lock downs and everything in-between our girl Zoe was dealing with a much bigger problem in the middle of a pandemic having gone for test in April 2021 three months later Zoe had got the news she had been dreading and in July 2021 it was confirmed Zoe had Grade 3 Breast cancer, a very very aggressive form which had already spread quite significantly.

Due to the type and form is was advised that Zoe have a mastectomy and start Chemotherapy as soon as possible. A mastectomy is every woman’s worst nightmare but if it meant saving Zoe then its what had to be done so in August 2021 Zoe underwent her operation to have a mastectomy where the doctors removed 3 lumps and placed an implant. September came and it was time to start her long and very strenuous journey with Chemotherapy.

Once Chemo was over Zoe was due to start radiotherapy but this was then put on hold because In January 2022 Zoe discovered another lump around her implant at first she was told it was just Fat tissue from the healing of the implant but whilst having tests the doctor discovers another lump and after testing it was confirmed Zoe had Grade 3 cancer again and that they needed to remove the implant immediately.

In March 2022 Zoe was told the Chemotherapy had not worked and the cancer had spread again this time into her Lymph nodes and skin. The doctor had told Zoe that during the removal of her implant they removed a total of 17 lumps so 20 lumps in the space of 9 months. Zoe needed to start radiotherapy every day for 3 months.

Having gone through the radiotherapy it was just a waiting game but over the next few months Zoe found more lumps and in September 2022 Zoe was again told that the Cancer had come back and she has Grade 3 cancer again for the 3rd time. This time though they have said there is nothing more they can do for Zoe only to treat her with medication to try and prolong her life and make her comfortable. How much longer she has left is uncertain but we want to make sure she can make up for the time lost whilst going through all of this and go out and enjoy life the best she can.

As anyone can imagine the pain Zoe is suffering now whilst going through all of the this and trying to be Mum to her boy George is just unbearable. We as Zoe friends know she needs a break more than any of us right now and we are asking that anyone who can help please support the cause of making it possible to send Zoe and her son on a much needed Holiday, something that will be so needed but so special for them to try and create an amazing memories together.
