My name is Muhammad Shehab, a 23-year-old from Gaza. The recent war has left my family and me without a home. We have been displaced multiple times and now live in a tent in Deir Al-Balah. My mother, who has been our rock throughout our struggles, suffers from high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease. She depends on daily medications that have become increasingly expensive and scarce.

My father passed away when I was just 3 months old, leaving my mother to raise my older brother and me on her own. Despite the immense challenges and the suffocating blockade on Gaza, I pursued my education, studying accounting at university with the hope of building a brighter future for us.

I was close to completing my degree when the war shattered everything. The occupation destroyed not only our neighborhood but also the university, robbing me of the chance to graduate and achieve my dreams. We don’t even know if our home still stands or is livable. We live under constant threat of being forced to evacuate yet again, with nowhere safe to go.

Our only hope for a life of dignity and safety is to leave Gaza, God willing. Through this GoFundMe, I aim to provide for our basic needs, secure essential medications for my mother, and work towards leaving Gaza with my family in search of peace and stability.
