Our miracle girl is almost home!!

We just got the incredible news that Amaya’s pulmonologist has spoken directly with the hospital in Florida — and she’ll be on a medical flight within the next two weeks! Once she arrives, we’re only 4–6 weeks away from finally taking her HOME.

This is the moment we’ve been praying for since the beginning — but it also comes with a whirlwind of challenges we need to face in a very short amount of time. ❤️

Before Amaya can come home, we need to move back to Florida and find a house close to her hospital in Saint Petersburg. Right now, we live too far away for her medical team to safely manage her care.

That means:

-Renting a moving truck to bring our belongings from Ohio to Florida

-Covering deposits, moving expenses, and initial setup costs for a new home

-Handling travel costs

-Essentials to help us establish a safe, stable home for Amaya’s transition from the hospital

This journey has already been emotionally and financially overwhelming, but it’s all been worth it to see how far our girl has come. Still, we can’t do this next step alone.

Even the smallest contribution helps us move one step closer to having our baby where she belongs — home with her family.

Amaya’s 1st Birthday is here!!! What a year it has been for this amazing family! They have all overcome so much and are finally getting closer to going home. As Misty stated on her post, they both have been out of work and anything you can give would be a blessing. If you are unable to donate monetarily, please consider sharing their GoFundMe. UPDATE 7/30!!! Amaya is going to Cincinnati. She is currently awaiting her plane transfer that should be here for her by the end of this week. Misty & Marissa are flying up & Jerry will be driving. Please consider donating to assist with costs of moving. They have to wait a week before getting into the Ronald McDonald House there, so on top of flights and gas, they will now also have to pay for a hotel that week. UPDATE 6/2!!! Amaya is being transported to All Children's in St. Pete for surgery. Any donations would be appreciated to help cover hotel costs during her recovery. UPDATE!!! Amaya was born on March 6th weighing in at 1lb 2oz.

Hi everyone! I'm Jarilyce & I'm sure you've seen me on Misty's Facebook at some point over the years. Most of you are aware that Misty is going to be hospitalized for the remainder of her pregnancy. She will be 25 weeks pregnant this friday, March 1st. She has been diagnosed with Severe Pre-eclampsia. If Amaya makes her grand entrance earlier than full term, she will be admitted to the NICU since she is struggling with growth restriction and currently only weighs 15 ounces. Jerry has been trying to work from the hospital as much as he can, however, some days that just isn't possible. Amaya will most likely have a NICU stay and they will continue to be with her in the hospital as much as possible. I've set this up because they would never ask for help. Misty has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met. They both have so many stresses right now and if we can all come together to relieve some financial stress for them, I know they would be grateful. They will have many long drives, food runs (meals are not included for Jerry & Marissa) and the bills will still keep coming. Anything will help. Donations can even be made anonymously.
