Greetings, my name is Amberly. As hard as this is to put out into the world, admit, and reach out for help with, I am fundraising for finding a natural cure to heal my autoimmune disease. I have ulcerative colitis (UC), an irritable bowl disease (IBD) that creates systemic inflammation and severely limits my quality of life. I was diagnosed December 16th, 2021 after my second colonoscopy and was told there's no known cause or cure. The doctors told me to take hard pharmaceuticals such as Prednisone (a steroid and immunosuppressant) and Mesalamine (an anti-inflammatory for UC) and to take Turmeric (Curcumin) which isn't covered under insurance. I tried the mesalamine but it made me dizzy and my vision began going in and out, so I stopped taking it. A week ago I had to go to the ER and the doctors said my red blood cell count is low and white blood cells are high, and gave me two antibiotics and a heavy dose of steroids. They are needing me to make a decision on another biologic medication to add with prednisone and say that if I don't get this into remission or treated that I am at risk for a rupture, a fistula, and colon cancer where they will need to do surgery.

I am a single mother of two boys that do not have their fathers helping me. I do not receive child support, and do not have my parents helping me either. The only thing I can do now is hope that there are some of my friends and some loving people out there that can help me get through this. I haven't been able to work, I'm running out of money, and am desperate now.

I have purchased so many books to research what I can do to heal naturally, I have purchased all kinds of supplements and outside tests, I have also gone to natural healers, acupuncturists, pelvic floor physical therapists, and need to see an ayurvedic practitioner and herbalist, possibly a functional medicine doctor but they are super expensive, and all of these visits come out of pocket. I humbly am asking for help, hope, and prayers to get through this and be there for my children and others.

I have fought tooth and nail to get where I am today with my education, trying to finish my degree at UCSD for Neuroscience as my end goal has been to open an accredited holistic health center to help others heal naturally. I have a non-profit that I started and an apothecary so that others in need like this can still be seen once the health center is up and running, but I had to put everything on hold until I can heal from this horrible UC and get back on my feet again.
