This is our beautiful young friend Elizabeth Hay (Lizzie) and her gorgeous family. You may also recognise her and husband James Smith (Jim) as respected, talented actors. Lizzie is also the eldest daughter of our very dear friends Lyn Ellbourn and Greg Hay. 

In late March Elizabeth, after experiencing a debilitating migraine for the first time, went to the doctor to investigate. A few doctors and scans later, they were blindsided by the results. Lizzie had a brain tumour behind her right eye. Since then Lizzie has had a craniotomy to remove the tumour. A post-surgical biopsy revealed a serious brain cancer diagnosis (a glioma). Absolutely devastating news. This is something that will be with Lizzie for life.

Radiation, chemotherapy, change and uncertainty lie ahead for Lizzie and Jim and their family. Work, home life, driving, parenting and income have all been understandably impacted. We are trying to support them and their family as they face a significant loss to their current and future income.
