Dear friends,

I’m writing to you today with a heavy heart, but also with hope. I am the mother of Criminschi Liubovi, a 12-year-old girl who is going through an incredibly difficult ordeal and fighting for every breath. Severe scoliosis has deformed her spine and rib cage to such an extent that it is putting pressure on her internal organs—especially her lungs—and breathing has become increasingly difficult.

Her battle with scoliosis began when she was 6 years old. We did everything we could at the time and followed the doctors’ recommendations: massage therapy, physical therapy, and specialized Schroth exercises. Throughout these years, she wore a rigid plastic Chêneau brace for 23 hours a day, which caused additional pain. She endured everything like a true hero, holding on to the hope of improving and getting better.

With the start of her rapid growth period over the last three months, her condition suddenly worsened.

Now she urgently needs surgery on her spine and rib cage, which is expected to last approximately 10 hours. It is a complex and difficult operation, but it is her only chance to protect her health and give her a normal life. Unfortunately, the costs are extremely high—far beyond what our family can afford. That is why we are reaching out to you, and to everyone who reads this message and is able to lend a helping hand.
