My name is Elsa Raymond and with Jayla's grandmother Ann Ryan we wanted to help raising funds for Jessica Nadeau and Vince Bailey following the recent medical event that happened to their youngest daughter Jayla on October 28th.

Below is a message from Mom and Dad explaining the situation!

Yesterday, our little Jayla stopped breathing on her own and we had to call 911 who thankfully were incredibly quick to respond. Her little heart almost stopped!

Moncton hospital were able to stabilize her and we got transferred by air to IWK in Halifax. Upon her arrival, they did a lot of test on her. They found out that she has a lot of fluid around the brain and traces of blood.

They performed a little surgery to drain the fluid out to do decompress on her brain. The surgery went well but we still don’t know what’s causing this and if there is any damage to her brain.

Hopefully we will get some news and answers to our questions pretty soon. In the meantime we appreciate and welcome all your kind thoughts and prayers.

The funds raised will be used to cover the cost of travel to the IWK, any medical related cost and also help their family keep their head above water as they are currently off work caring for their newborn daughter Jayla.

Je m'appelle Elsa Raymond et, avec Ann Ryan, la grand-mère de Jayla, nous souhaitions collecter des fonds pour Jessica Nadeau et Vince Bailey suite au récent problème de santé survenu à leur plus jeune fille, Jayla, le 28 octobre.

Hier, notre petite Jayla a cessé de respirer et nous avons dû appeler le 911. Heureusement, les secours sont intervenus très rapidement. Son petit cœur a failli s'arrêter !

L'hôpital de Moncton a réussi à la stabiliser et nous avons été transférés par avion à l'IWK d'Halifax. À son arrivée, elle a subi de nombreux examens. Les médecins ont découvert qu'elle avait un œdème cérébral important et des traces de sang.

Une petite intervention chirurgicale a été pratiquée pour drainer le liquide et décomprimer son cerveau. L'opération s'est bien déroulée, mais nous ignorons encore la cause de cet œdème et s'il y a des lésions cérébrales.

Nous espérons avoir bientôt des nouvelles et des réponses à nos questions. En attendant, nous vous remercions chaleureusement pour vos pensées et vos prières.

Les fonds recueillis serviront à couvrir les frais de déplacement vers l'IWK, les frais médicaux et à soutenir la famille, actuellement en congé pour s'occuper de leur nouveau-née, Jayla.
