Please help Eric for Medical bills & Expenses

Hi my name is Jennifer Galindo. I am creating this fundraiser for my son Eric Josiah Godinez.

With a heavy heart during these Holiday seasons & New year. My son eric of One year old has been in and out of the hospital due to several chronic illnesses since Oct. 12 2023. He was diagnosed with

*RSV INFECTION

*TWO OTHER VIRUS

*HAND MOUTH & FEET DISEASE.

Eric spent Holidays & his 1st Birthday in the hospital.

Within days he was getting worse & worse. Within weeks of his first diagnosis Eric lasted 25 without no food & no milk.

He was placed on a temporary feeding tube & a PICC LINE to help him gain all the weight he lost and to maintain his weight that he needed to be at for his age.

On 10/21/23 Eric was disgnosed with Rhino virus during his time at Kaiser in downey. All these virus started to cause food aversion.

On 11/17/23 Just when i thought my son Eric was recovering , he worsened quickly , he was dignosed with a rare Disease called Kawasaki Disease.

Kawasaki Disease is an illness that causes blood vessels to become inflammed in young children. Its one of the leading causes of heart diseases in children. Unfortunately, the disease has led to

*CORONARY ANEURYSM

*MUCOCUTANEOUS LYMPH NODE SYNDROME

*ABNORMAL ENCHOCARDIOGRAMS

*SENSORY FOOD AVERSION

*PHYSICAL THERAPY

*OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

*TAKING MANY MEDICATIONS ON A DAILY

On 12/6/23 eric also developed a presence of Gastrostomy and stopped eating completely. He had surgery for a Gtube placement because his nerves around his intestines stopped working. His body has its good days & has its bad days to get used to the Gtube. His Body rejects the gtube from time to time.

On 1/2/24 eric had Heart Surgery due to the aneurism. It breaks my heart to see my lil baby go threw so much.

 

1/22/24 Eric got readmitted because his body relapsed. He got another virus that once again is affecting his body. Till now we don't know just have to wait n pray. 

He continues to be in isolation.

3/5/24 Eric had another inteses surgery. 

3/8/24 Eric was positive for Corona Virus.

3/11/24 Eric relapsed On Kawasaki Disease.

3/12/24 he was detected that his inteses don’t work at all now. 

He is on a special medicine to see if it helps . He will need a lot more surgeries . 

Eric maintains to be hospitalized.

Eric continues to have numerous of docter appointments & treatments done in Kaiser Los Angeles ,kaiser Downey & Kaiser Baldwin park by his doctors & specialists.

His immune system is not up for the challenge of a daycare & the very needs of myself to continue to be his primary caregiver.

Eric is so young and is an absolute joy. A joyfull happy lil child with the purest soul.

I am hopeful that i can raise enough funds to help alleviate the financial burden that has come for myself to take a leave of absence from work. Medical expenses are unfortunate going to be out of control due to his medical insurance limitations.
