Hello friends,

I know this news will come as a shock, and I am so sorry that you are finding out through this fundraiser, but Dan's health is in severely critical condition. He has been in ICU for many weeks due to complete liver failure.

His family and care team have been working tirelessly to find a hospital that will consider him for a transplant and have found one in Virginia. Due to the extreme circumstances of Dan's situation, he will need to be airlifted from Boston to Virginia, which is about $20,000. Anything you can give will help his family offset the flight cost.

PLEASE do not reach out to Dan at this time. His medication keeps him resting comfortably, and too much communication is overwhelming.
