Hi, my name is Melanie and I am starting up this GofundMe to help pay for my son, Michael’s, surgery!

Michael is 8 years old and has had issues with his ears since he was born. Diagnosed with chronic ear infections and having tubes placed in his ears when he was 3 years old. Now Michael is experiencing hearing loss, with chronic ear infections resulting in failing two hearing tests. He has since been diagnosed with a specific learning disability along with dyslexia. Michael struggles in school and everyday life due to issues with hearing properly. Doctors are wanting to try placing tubes in both his ears along with removing his Adenoids to help prevent chronic ear infections and further hearing loss.

Surgery is scheduled for April 24, 2024. Payment needs to be made by April 17, 2024 in order for Michael to have the surgery. Insurance is not covering the medical bills until our deductible of $3,200 is met. Currently none of our deductible has been met.

Michael really needs this surgery to have a better quality of life and to prevent further hearing loss.
